Halo, I'm Cindy !

I just graduated from University of Washington with a major in Psychology and minor focus in Informatics.

My passion in design stemmed from my curiosity to explore and understand people more deeply, which is also the main reason why I studied Psych in undergrad.

It all first started when I was impressed by outstanding performance of a classic noir film, Double Indemnity (1944). The chemistry between characters filled with playful banters made me wonder why people act the way they do.

My love for movies extended my interest into drama, self-expression, and eventually, design.

From there, I began joining clubs, internships, and competitions to channel my interest in design and sharpens user-centered design thinking so that I can apply the mindset intuitively to every design I want to solve.

Design became another way for me to express myself while also making a meaningful impact. I believe good design should be: Efficient, accessible, and purpose-driven.

My Experience

The design principles I uphold led me to support the #WaterforBanuan project, a campaign by Solar Chapter, a nonprofit organization working to end the water crisis in rural Indonesia through clean energy.

Outside UX

When I’m not designing, I like checking off my bucket list; exploring different parts of the globe, restaurant hopping to discover new ramen flavors, experimenting with baking recipes to satisfy my sweet tooth, and, of course, saving endless cat videos…

Thank you for stopping by!
